The continental breakfast was exceptional, with a great choice and plenty available.
There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which was quite disappointing for the price we paid.

My honest journey to loving (or hating) this
Great location next to transportation and helpful staff made exploring the area easy and enjoyable
The vintage rooms felt outdated and small, lacking modern amenities and adequate soundproofing

missingWrote a review on Jul 04convenient locationdelicious breakfastoutdated featuresno air conditioningnoise disturbance
A charming stay with a convenient location near public transport made exploring easy. The buffet breakfast offered a great variety, including delightful items like Manchego ratatouille. On the downside, the room had some outdated features, and the absence of air conditioning was noticeable. noise from the terrace occasionally disrupted the peace at night, and the duvet covers were smaller than preferred.

The hotel boasts a charming historical aspect that's hard to miss, bringing a bit of vintage style to the stay. It's conveniently located just across the street from Hallensee station, making transport to various parts of the city a breeze.
Room sizes can be a letdown, especially if you're accustomed to more spacious accommodations. Some rooms feel cramped and dated. The lack of air conditioning can make things steamy during warmer months, and there's a noticeable absence of basic in-room amenities like a kettle or coffee-making facilities. Wi-Fi reliability is questionable at best, which could frustrate anyone needing a steady connection. There’s no swimming pool or significant on-site entertainment, which might leave you feeling a bit isolated after a long day exploring. Plus, the breakfast tends to be basic, leaving some foodies wanting more variety and flair.

The Comfort Double Room with Sofa Bed was pretty spacious and comfortable. The double bed was split into two singles, which worked out great. The bathroom was also spacious with a decent shower and plenty of storage space for our stuff. The mini-fridge was a nice touch but still, I could’ve used a kettle for some late-night tea. The noise from the trains was a bit much during the night, so light sleepers might want to keep that in mind.

The staff were incredibly helpful with directions. and tours. The breakfast spread was tasty and substantial enough to keep us going throughout the day. The location felt quite tranquil, nestled in a pleasant tree-lined area, making it a lovely retreat despite being near the S-Bahn.
Some areas could benefit from updates, and basic in-room coffee and tea facilities would be a nice addition.

I enjoyed the spacious room with a desk, perfect for catching up on work during my three-night stay. The free afternoon tea was a delightful surprise. The outdoor garden area provided a lovely spot to unwind after a busy day, and I appreciated the small terrace for evening drinks. The bedding could use an upgrade for extra comfort, but overall, it was a cozy experience. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant getaway! 😊
